1177 Sapper ANGAPPAN
Queen's Own Madras Sappers and Miners

Sapper Angappan served in the 4th Company of the Queen's Own (Madras) Sappers and Miners. He was present with theMohmand Field Force on the Punjab Frontier from the 10th of June 1897 to the 6th of April 1898, and in Samana from the 22nd of August 1897 to the 2nd of October 1897. He also served with the Tirah Field Force as part of the 2nd Divisional Troops from the 2nd of October 1897 to the 6th of April 1898. For his service Sapper Angappan was awarded the India General Service Medal 1895-1902 with clasps [PUNJAB FRONTIER 1897-98][SAMANA 1897] and [TIRAH 1897-98].
